WASKASS
Role: Creative Direction, Programming
Personal Project
WASKASS is a duo formed with drummer Nathaniel Remon and myself.
It presented 'Human After All', a live audiovisual performance where each drum stroke shapes light, visuals and soundscape in real time, creating an immersive sensory dialogue.
This project presents a powerful live performance in which live drumming becomes the central medium of an audiovisual dialogue. Each percussive gesture not only generates sound but also directly shapes light, visuals and additional soundscape in real time. Through the integration of live drumming, synchronized light control, and percussive-driven visuals, the performance creates a unified and immersive sensory experience where rhythm sculpts light and brings dynamic visual landscapes to life.
This performance, explores the fragile boundary between humanity and technology. The direct dialogue between the analog gestures of the performer and the digital environment creates a world where rhythm becomes a lens to question our digitized existence.
This interplay embodies themes like transhumanism & human-machine hybridization, identity fragmentation, cyberpsychosis and the blurring of reality. Every gesture of the performers shapes both the audiovisual landscape and the conceptual narrative, transforming sound into a reflection on the human condition in a techno-mediated reality.
